Faith-Focused Entrepreneurs?

by Cynthia K. Lee  - Copyright 2007 -  All Rights Reserved

The Life More Abundant Club's administrators' and members' focus on faith-based beliefs, values, lifestyles and activities sets it apart from mainstream Internet home business programs and groups.

Many of the Club's members as well as its administrators are still very much part of the exciting and volatile world of mainstream online "income opportunities" however.  This means they are exposed to the same influences and enticements as thousands of other investors and marketers who are not faith-focused and whose priorities are material rather than spiritual

Being "in the world" but not "of the world" is an ongoing challenge for faith-focused people everywhere.  We really do have the ability--and perhaps a responsibility-- to uplift the world rather than allowing ourselves to be swallowed up and brought down by it.  A commitment to prayer or meditation, to following spiritual guidance and to asking for spiritual protection are all powerful ways to maintain a faith-focus and balance.

The Club is a humble, hype-free program designed to assist the 95% of people who don't have the skills, funds or inner or outer resources to become wealthy Internet marketers or  millionaires.

It deliberately positions itself as a "low end" program that specializes in low cost and no-cost home income programs that are more likely to produce profits in hundreds of dollars (at least initially) rather than thousands of dollars. It also emphasizes opportunities that require no recruiting to generate profits or very low levels of recruiting and low levels of recruiting pressures because recruiting is the most difficult and stressful aspect of many home income programs.

Given this position and perspective, the Club naturally discourages "get rich quick" thinking and actions based on that kind of thinking because, quite simply, most people will not get rich quick, no matter what guru they follow, what software they buy, what gimmicks they try or what program they join.

The underlying financial and business philosophy and strategy of the Life More Abundant Club is more along the lines of "get rich slowly," and build a stable, strong and growing home business that derives its profits from multiple streams of income; streams that start out small and grow larger and larger over time.

The Club also stresses the importance of members seeking and building positive, respectful  relationships with like-minded friends and associates, thereby creating a circle of influence and personal network that will increase their quality of life in many ways, including support and assistance in home income programs and activities.

I chose to complete the task.  This is not an affiliate program, where your profits are partially or wholly dependent upon getting recruits under you in the program. You can share the link (www.projectpayday.com ) freely, precisely because it is not an affiliate program. Those who join can also, as a bonus, become members of the popular Survey Scout program (featured on our Club's list), which normally costs $34.95 to join, and the PaidGamePlayer program, also a $34.95 program. I would like for a Life More Abundant Club member to work with this progam and let me know how they do with it Please contact Cynthia at: abundantlife@cox.net if you would be willing to put this free to join program through its paces.

Herds and Cash Cows

by Cynthia K. Lee - Copyright 2007 - All Rights Reserved

It happens to us all. The temptation to sign up for a hot, new program that promises to make us big bucks easily and quickly is hard to resist.  This is especially true if a program comes highly recommended by trusted friends, associates or leaders, or well known and well respected Internet marketers.

Naturally, it will seem even more exciting and irresistable if a lot of people pile onto the program soon after it launches and there's a loud "buzz" about the program going around on Internet forums and safelists and personal and promotional emails. I am particularly attracted to programs that are designed in creative, innovative ways and have minimal recruiting requirements or no recruiting requirements.

The Internet is prone to these kinds of big group movements, where large "herds" of entrepreneurs join "cash cow" programs by the hundreds and thousands. This has worked out very well for me with some programs but only a small percentage of them.

If you do get into one of these cash cow programs early enough, or sign up under a heavy hitter sponsor who gives you spillover signups, or sign up a heavy hitter recruiter under you, or bring in a goodly number of your own personal referrals--or some combination of the above--you really can make some big bucks quickly and easily.

But (you knew there was a "but" coming didn't you?) what if you're not one of the first 100 people to join and start making money hand over fist?  What if the program is so popular that thousands of people quickly join it and strain its technical resources to the breaking point?  What if the program does not or cannot deliver on its enticing promises and starts to frantically create Plan B and Plan C to try to compensate for this problem?

Yes, timing can make a critical difference in your level of profits and success with a program and "first movers advantage" is a very real phenomenon. I am not trying to discourage anyone from experiencing the very real financial as well as psychological thrills and rewards that can and do happen in connection with these hot, new cash cow programs.

It really is possible to make hundreds or thousands of dollars quickly with hot new programs, especially if you can recruit several personal signups. Given the high risk nature of any new program, however, it is easy to lose lots of dollars quickly as well. Statistically, only a small percentage of these programs will endure and perform well for more than a small fraction of members

My recommendation is that you think about what is involved and what you are doing and ask yourself a few questions.

Has joining a herd that eagerly gallops into hot new cash cow programs become a way of life for you when it comes to making money on the Internet? If so, has it been a successful strategy for you? Do you have a business plan or strategy?  Or are you adrift on the churning seas of cyberspace commerce, hoping that if you're in the right place at the right time and sign up under the right person that your sails will fill and you will finally be carried to a highly desirable financial destination?

Have your cash cow earnings been a flash in the pan or produced enough of a profit for you to build stable, enduring streams of income in other, less volatile types of programs or investment opportunities? Do you deliberately diversify the types of programs you join and the types of income you generate? What types of programs have been most profitable for you and least profitable for you? What strategies have worked best for you?

I have no answers; just questions that only you can answer. My questions are intended to encourage you are to be both pro-active and reflective in the choices you make about your home business activities, especially your decisions about those hot new programs that lead so many of us to act like, well, livestock.

"The Godly Gazette - Giving You the Good News" http://hotshorturl.com/is87   One of only three "active" (i.e., recruiting required to get into profit) programs that Life More Abundant Club administrator Cynthia Lee is a member of, The Godly Gazette is actually a free to join program that sends its gazette to members free of charge. It does have an affiliate program, however, and this is where the recruiting--and profits--come into the picture. If you upgrade to a paying member by setting up a monthly subscription payment of $10, you are eligible to receive 50% commissions on every person who signs up under you and also upgrades. You will receive $5 a month for every member that you sign up under you who upgrades and maintains their monthly subscription. With just two personal referrals (sign-ups), your monthly subscription costs are covered. With just three, you are in profit by $5. The low cost and low recruiting requirements for achieving profit in this program make it ideal for newbies or other marketers who have simply never experienced getting into profit. This program will also tend to both attract and be appreciated by faith-focused Christians.

Still Haven't Had a Chance to Take Your Vacation?  Use Corky's travel agency.  It offers the same (as in identical) great deals as its mothership site Travelocity, but it is an affiliate program where private citizen  "agents" and entrepreneurs get a commission   http://www.ytbtravel.com/corkyd

Business Plan? What Business Plan?

by Cynthia K. Lee - Copyright 2007 - All Rights Reserved

I have been reading a book called "High Trust Selling" by Todd Duncan that spells out the differences between average or mediocre sales-people and those who are, or who become, very high achievers. Most of the sales-people the book discusses are involved in high-tech offline sales and they make millions of dollars a year--even the relatively average sales-people.  You can read a free overview of the book here: http://www.bizsum.com/2page/b_HighTrustSelling.php

There are traits and habits that are common to high achievers in many types of businesses, however, not just high-tech, high-dollar offline sales.  One of these habits is creating a business plan, putting it in writing and following it.  Having a vision and mission statement are also important elements of the success equation.

Is this like writing down goals?  Yes and no.  Goals should definitely be included in your business plan, which will ideally include a 1-year plan and 5-year plan. along with detailed strategies for achieving your goals.. It takes a lot of reflection and soul searching to really pull together and then put on paper and follow a plan that expresses your deepest dreams and builds on your uniqe talents and resources.

While many if not most home business entrepreneurs are involved in sales because of their efforts to promote and market their program(s) and sign up recruits for them, we usually don't think of ourselves as "being in sales," and yet that is often a key aspect of what we are doing.

Duncan stresses the importance of the invisible foundation, the "stuff on the inside--who you are and who you want to become, why you sell and what legacy you intend to leave." He points out that most people easily perceive the difference between someone who is just out to make money and someone who is out to make a difference and add value to their lives. Which kind of person would you trust and want to do business with?

In over 20 years of interviewing, training and coaching sales professionals, Duncan has found that the single biggest block to sales success is a sales-person's lack of purpose. He says most people in sales don't delve below the surface and are focused solely on the outward, material manifestations or symbols of success, such as big bank accounts, a high volume of sales and a luxury home and car.  Duncan claims that this all too common approach really limits how high sales professionals can fly, both in terms of their earnings and achievements and their fulfillment and happiness with their work.

Although it may take a significant investment of your time and effort to focus on and delve into all that "inside stuff," and then articulate it in the form of a written life purpose and long-term and short-term business plan, I encourage you to make that effort .

Duncan insists that people who seek to work smart and achieve success and fulfillment  in sales do so  "from the inside out"  rather than (or as well as) from the "outside in."

"The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made. And the activity of making them changes both the maker and their destination."

- John Schaar
